On Friday 17th December, the students of 1st CFGS Administration and Finance had a lesson on how to solve a business case based on expanding a company to a different country.
This lesson was given by Lucas Alonso Mateos who is the Director of Operations in South East Asia of Hilti Company. He kindly accepted the invitation to participate in this experience. The main objective of this lesson was to transfer theory into praxis.
First he talked about the company and his work there and encouraged students to improve their English in order to find better opportunities at work. He introduced some warming-up activities to make the students talk about themselves.
Then the students had to work in groups and after studying some pros and cons based on real data, they had to convince the teachers about their results. The students participated with interest and made quite relevant oral presentations and conclusions.
We would like to thank Lucas for his collaboration and for this dynamic lesson which brings the students the opportunity to learn English in a more enthusiastic way.
